As I showed you in this post, I bought two things at the indoor garage sale that needed a little work before I showed where they ended up in my house. First up is the little metal book stand. I found this gem hidden under books, not surprisingly. I actually can’t say why I noticed it but once I did it was mine. It was marked at 50% off of $5 so it was an easy decision. I didn’t love the dark green, but I mean… spray paint.
The only problem is that when I was attempting to spray paint this it was like -9 degrees so my spray paint wasn’t really working and my hands weren’t really working, but it got done eventually.
I knew right away that this little shelf would be perfect for my nightstand. I am a big night reader (I go to bed an hour before I want to actually sleep so that I can read) so there is always a mess of books around my nightstand. But now I have a nice little shelf to keep the books tidy.
It’s cute right?? The pattern in the metal pops so much more now that it is white. I really like it! The best thing is that this little shelf would work well in a lot of different rooms. Fun vintage cookbooks in the kitchen. Little notebooks and journals on a desk. Lots of possibilities!
I love finding odd little things like this, it makes my house happy (and by extension, me).
